Artist Biography
Born in Novi Sad, Serbia (1983), Valentina Brostean is a multidisciplinary visual artist with over 15 years of experience. Having lived in Turin, Italy for a decade, she now resides in Barcelona. A graduate of the University of Novi Sad (BFA Graphic Design, MFA Illustration), her bold, colorful “new contemporary figuration” style blends traditional/digital mediums, featuring unexpected compositions and surreal, emotion-driven imagery—rooted in exploring human nature, dreams, and reality-surrealism interplay.
Specializing in editorial/fashion illustration, she employs playful mixed-media and collage techniques, delivering boundary-pushing creative solutions. Recognized as an emerging contemporary artist, she has collaborated with clients like Armani Exchange and The Washington Post, with work published globally and exhibited across Europe, the US, and the Middle East.
In 2018, Valentina Brostean joined Creative You, infusing surrealist imagery into designs and fragrances. She championed the philosophy of "Art in Everyday Life," guiding everyone to perceive their true selves, express their authenticity, and become creators of their own lives through scent.
